Jason Denner, Principal Consultant, Managing Partner
Jason has 14 years of professional experience across many aspects of sustainable industrial and mechanical engineering, including: industrial utility system analysis and improvement; energy efficiency project development; distributed and renewable energy supply; production operations; and, distribution logistics. He has used this experience to lead ambitious energy efficiency projects for international companies in food and beverage, manufacturing, pulp and paper, mining, oil and gas, and metallurgical industries. Jason was formerly the Director of Engineering for DOMANI Sustainability Consulting, LLC and a Senior Project Engineer in the Rocky Mountain Institute's research and consulting group. He has led projects to improve the energy and water efficiency of numerous industrial facilities on four continents.

Dr. Kevin Vranes, Principal Consultant
Kevin is a former Senate staffer with a B.S. in Geology from the University of California at Davis and a Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography and Climatology from the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University. He has over a decade of experience in private industry, government and academia, and has expertise in both the technical/scientific and policy worlds. Kevin was a Public Policy Fellow of Columbia University's policy school, the School of International and Public Affairs. He served in a senior staff (Legislative Assistant) position for Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon where he was a principal science advisor, staffing the Senator on all three Senate authorizing committees with jurisdiction over scientific issues. Kevin has published numerous papers, including: technical articles in peer-reviewed journals; popular-audience articles examining the politics of science in Congress; and, reports on natural hazards risk for the World Bank. He now blends his technical, policy and political backgrounds for companies that need integrated, simultaneous support in all three areas.

Dave Payne, Principal Consultant
Dave brings 14 years of consulting experience to the Point380 team, providing strategic guidance, research, and tools development expertise for clients in the beverage, building, communications, energy, pharmaceutical, publishing and technology industries. With graduate degrees in Education (Harvard) and Business (Colorado), Dave is well-versed in the theory and practice of strategic change. In addition to his work with Point380, Dave provides marketing consulting with the 520 Collective and teaches in the MBA program at the Leeds School of Business. Dave was formerly Knowledge Officer for DOMANI Sustainability Consulting, LLC and a Consultant at Rocky Mountain Institute.

Ty Colman, Analyst, LEED-AP
Ty holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management and combines his engineering and management background to assist clients to evaluate strategies and options in sustainability, energy efficiency and process improvement. He has provided clients with technical support in efficiency analysis, data interpretation and summation, advanced Excel(r) applications, technical research, material selection, and technical document development. Ty is currently developing probabilistic decision support systems for application to management of energy efficiency, cost savings, and process improvement programs.

Peter Light, Bloom Energy
As an advisor to Point380 Peter brings broad expertise in the economics and technical viability of distributed generation technologies. Peter is well versed in the latest developments in climate change policy, REC markets and RPS laws, particularly in California. Peter currently works with Bloom Energy (formerly Ion America), a company developing clean onsite power solutions based on fuel cell technology. Prior to Bloom Energy, Peter investigated the value of distributed generation to electric utilities for Energy & Environmental Economics and the Rocky Mountain Institute.

John Thomas, Principal, Research Services, LaunchBox
Since 1988 John has focused on the place where technology and business research objectives merge. John has run hundreds of custom market research studies for technology clients nationwide. Prior to co-founding LaunchBox, he designed and delivered strategic quantitative and qualitative studies for Verizon, AT&T, HP, Intel, Microsoft, dozens of CLECs, all the baby-bells, numerous public utilities, and scores of start-up companies and ad agencies.

Mark Rehnborg, Business Consultant
Mark employs his leadership, problem solving, and technical background in information technology to build uniquely effective business systems for knowledge-driven small businesses. His experience spans service, health care, manufacturing, defense, construction and real estate industries.
